Great series - I'm getting a lot out of it. I'm building a ticketing system, but am running into a problem.

I am concerned more about documenting work done/contacts to the office vs maintaining a client list, although we will log their name and contact info when they call. But, I'm running into a problem...

I have a TicketF to log tickets, info is stored in a TicketT, and I have a TicketQ to query tickets. I built a TicketF to query the TicketT and created transparent button (cool trick!) to open a particular selected ticket. But, when it's selected, it bring up an empty TicketF and notes "Record 2 of 2" - if I client back, then the actual ticket I wanted is displayed. This is all similar to what you did in Beginner 7.4 & 7.5 - except of course yours worked.

I'm running Access 2010, I have rebooted, rebuilt, and failed miserably on numerous occasions to figure out what is wrong.

I hope I explained my problem sufficiently well - any ideas on where I'm going wrong?

Sounds like somewhere in your button there is code to go to a NEW record. I'd need to see your database to tell you for sure.
