In todays newsletter from Mike Wolfe (nolongerset) he writes about using Currentdb.Execute instead of using DoCmd.RunSQL.

Funny you just mentioned it in this TechHelp of using this also.

Indeed he did. I saw that earlier today too. I was going to post a link to it. Mike has some really good articles on his site. I follow him on Twitter.
