When I added a photo of a vehicle to my table and opened it in my form, it turned the picture on its side. What did I do wrong, and it there a way to correct that?

The orientation of a picture (portrait or landscape) is contained with in the picture. I'm not aware of any way to rotate that in Access.
The best way I've found is to edit it in your favorite photo program. A good free one is IrfanView. Easy to use - lots of features - well respected.
