VBA variable to copy 90

I'm going the other way, just nulling a few of the fields that are copied and updating a few others (like update date). Is there "something" available in VBA that will have the entire record that we can then set the new record to? This is a better approach than DIMing and setting a bunch of variables (IMHO). I want to avoid the macro solution in the free video.

I poked around in the macro that was built in Richard's example of duplicate (free video 2:00) and looked the macro over. It seems to select, copy, goto new, select record, paste. So, it appears there is a way to copy the whole record, it's just that the the macro screen won't let you create VBA code from this macro. So, the question is what are the VBA codes to do the same?

Then as we enter into the newly copied record, and we want to change some of the bound field controls (FirstName etc.), where or when do we want to do that?

If you are not familiar with Record Sets they are covered beginning in Access Developer 16 and continuing for several Developer levels after that.
