I have the command button that opens the form. It works great. Then I try to hide it so that it looks like the user is clicking a different field. It stops working. Just, nothing happens. Im on Office 365, is it a difference in version issue?
I'm not quite sure I understand what you're trying to do. Can you clarify and possibly post a screenshot?

I moved the Open button from the bottom to the right of the record, and it still works fine. I make the button invisible and it stops working even when I know I'm clicking where it would be.

If the button is not visible you cannot click on it.
If you don't need to see the button but still need the Click event of the button to work make the button transparent instead.
