Maybe his day job requires more of his time.  I believe he is only in his 40s, so I don't think he is retiring.  Still, I don't understand the need to remove the entire site.

If you go to www.devhut.com and look at the HTML source, you will see a hidden message, as shown in the picture below.  Maybe he has given up Access altogether.

The picture below shows Daniel Pineault's last comment on his last video on his YouTube channel.  It gives a glimmer of his displeasure of Access and Microsoft.

Nice catch on that hidden comment. And yeah, I could tell from his writings over the past year or two that he's been unhappy with Access. I respectfully disagree. I think Access is still an awesome tool ESPECIALLY for people to build databases who aren't themselves "professional developers" nor want to be. But I will agree with him that Microsoft definitely needs to spend more time and resources improving Access. They have a gem of a product and don't even realize it.
