Product item stock goes null

I built my form as suggested in your video. I have a Work Order form with a Material Sub form in it. I found that when I add Material and forget to put a Quantity in and then mark it as complete and the update query runs it takes all of my stock quantity for that item and changes my stock quantity in the table to null. I don't have a default value in Quantity on the form. What can be done to prevent this from happening?

Don't forget to put in a quantity?
LOL  - Sorry I couldn't resist.

Seriously though - it seems that some error checking and validation might be in order. Check out the
Before Update video on how to catch things before they are committed to the table.
To get more in depth the question is kind of vague.  We would need to see what you are doing to update the records.

Scott I seriously thought of putting a default of 1 in my table for quantity so I wouldn't get an error. Lol. But with some experimenting I did use a Before Update and had to change a little VBA code and got it working properly. thanks for you input!
