Ribbon with some hickups

Hello Rick

I fully understand the Ribbons now and the possibilities, which is great, and thank you for the great material.

I did run into a little problem that it something else to get a ribbon to set to a specific Tab. After finding lots of code online and trying out so many things I still have decided to not use the ribbon. Also the fact that I am creating a multi language DB makes it very hard to have the ribbon change language unless it is restarted.

I do see great potential in the ribbon and again I enjoyed the topic. But unless there is a proper way of setting the tab of the ribbon after changing the ribbon for a specific form I don't think I will use the ribbon at all.

Thank you

Sorry for the spelling and incorrect sentences, but it was late when I wrote the post :-( .

I guess you get what I was trying to say.  I now mimic the ribbon with a form build ribbon with buttons, same look and feel as the actual ribbon, but a lot easier to control and to create, especially when you want to be able to change the text in the ribbon to another language.

Still love the topic and materials :-).

Yeah, I'll be honest, I think building a ribbon is overrated and I've almost never done it myself for real projects. I prefer just having navigation options on the forms that I'm working on, but I do get a lot of requests from people on making ribbons and pop-up menus, so that's why I decided to put these two lessons together.
