The reason for your question is unclear to me.  How or from where you open the form will not impact whether the user "edit these list with random data".  I read this as "bad data".  The helper form that opens, in the extended cut, is filtered to the specific data type and the datatypeID is default_value-populated with the new record entry.

To answer your actual question, Yes, you can navigate to a HelperData edit form from a control your admin form.  You can use the HelperTypeT as the record source in that control.  When you trigger from there you would open a form, filtered to the specific helper type data, exactly as covered in the extended cut.

Richard shows navigating from the data entry combo box because it is commonly during data entry that a user realizes that they need a new suffix, for example.

I suspect that I have not gotten to the crux of your actual question with this response.  Feel free to expand the question or set me straight, as I may have missed it.

I hope this explains what I am wanting better. Maybe someone can explain the process to get it right and the code I need. I have the form created in the lesson I would just need a dropdown to select the Helper Type to edit the same as the Double Click event does.

What if you place a list box on that form with visible = false.  On_Click on the "edit lists" button turn  list visible = True.  On_click
for list box opens the edit form, moves focus off of list box, and set button visible = false again.
