I believe username is a reserved word

I changed Username to Uname.  Made no difference.  Same error comes up.  Open to suggestions.  I thank you for any assistance.  Richard uses Username.  His code does not come up with this error.  thank Sammi for his assistance.

Ok, I also use the same code from Richard in my applications. If none of the other moderators answer this question for you tonight, I will check my code and come back to you when I get into the office tomorrow.

I have checked my code.
Looking at the procedure you have, you are assigning to a TempVars a value coming from Field called "Username"
Is that field on the form that is open and has focus?

or are you reading it from the table with a DLoockup?

Did you check the spelling of your FIELD name on the form?

Run down the Troubleshooter?
