Nested Subforms Not Working
Stacy Atchison

You use to be able to to have a continuous subform inside of a continuous form (Rick has a video using, I believe, classroom subjects in the example). When the error came up, you just clicked ok and then went back to the form properties and changed it back to continuous and it worked!! Now the error is insistent :< It will NOT let you change it to continuous :< What's the new work around please!! TIA

I just tried it on my system, and it still works for me. I'm running Version 2402 Build 17328.20184 - so unless they changed this in a newer version and I just haven't gotten the update... ???

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong then?

Id go down the Troubleshooter since it appears to be unique to your machine.

Okay, I have finally gone through all the trouble shooting...(I promise!) Googling didn't come up with anything either:( I even started over with a brand new database, from scratch! I recreated only the tables and forms necessary to test it. Still getting the SAME ERROR! :((((((   "You can't view a form as a continuous form if it contains a subform, an ActiveX control, a bound chart or a Web browser control."  "Set the DefaultView property of the form to Single Form, Datasheet, PivotTable, or PivotChart."  What in the world is going on??? }:{{

If you go to File->Account->About Access, what does it say at the top for the version/bitness? I'm at a loss.

I feel like this has got to be one of my stroke brain situations. I've got to be missing something... and it's gonna end up being really stupid and even more embarrassing :$  I'm gonna grab some popcorn and a frap and watch those two videos over and over in slow-mo until I see it!!!! That is unless you find something Adam and save my dignity and possibly even my sanity!!! LOL!

Oh I think I see what your doing after playing with it myself I can get the same error to come up. The subform needs to be in the form footer section, not the detail section, which is what I'm assuming you're doing with it?

OMG!!!! I told you it was going to be something stupid (smack hand to face emoji!)  You are exactly right!  I watched the video and then started it over again (I'm a woman of my word!) and then I saw it!!!  UGGHHH!  With my head hung in shame I came back to the forum to confess and saw your comment! Geeze Adam, Step it up man! It took you 21 days to figure it out!!  LOL! I am SOOOOO Kidding around!  You guys are amazing!  Meet you in TenForward for a round on me!!
