Continous form

I'm trying to check the spelling on the newest record added or if a record has changed in one field in a continuous form that is a subform. I actually have three subforms with the same one text field I'd like to have spell checked, but only if new or changed. Please help. Sorry to take a relatively simple thing to do and make it about as complicated as it can get.

Please share more information.
Is the record saved or is it still dirty?

Yeah, it sounds to me like you might need to refresh the record before trying to check the spelling.

Dirty. So Richard and Sami. Maybe an on exit event from the field after adding, refresh, then set focus back to the field, then check spelling? Is this any different because it's a subform?

You do not need to set focus to do the spellchecking. You will specify the field that you want to spellcheck. You can use either before update or after update In this particular case. I will probably use after update. Before I call the spellchecker, I will do me.refresh.

I've had issues in the past using after update.
