Hi Richard, first I want to say great job with these lessons. I have never used Access, but I am now well on my way to completing an inventory control system. Which lessons do I need to view to learn how to create a drop down menu, and also setting the database so the user opens it and there is no ribbon or side panel. I just want them to see the main menu form.
Reply from Richard Rost:
I cover real simple drop-down menus (called COMBO BOXES in Access) in the next two classes (Access Beginner 8 and 9)... BUT... the real fun happens when Access Expert Level 1 is released next week. That's when I show you all of the BEST ways to make combo boxes. If you really can't wait, you can move up to Access 201 right now. It's for AC2003, but the material is all still valid.
As far as the other stuff goes, I covered how to hide the Navigation Pane and show your own startup form in the previous lesson (this course, lesson 1). Hiding the RIBBON is a little more complex, and will be covered later.
