Inventory in Access

I need help writting a database for and inventory program. How do you make a talk where you put inventory into stock and then make a talk that when you use the stock you can take it out of inventory and put it into a history table. Very confusing.   Any ideas

Reply from Richard Rost:

Properly tracking inventory in Access requires a lot of setup. Unless you want to do a LOT of manual entry in multiple tables, you need some programming to make all that "behind the scenes" stuff work. When you add a product to an invoice and you want the quantity on hand to reduce, that requires some programming.

Fortunately, I have a whole series of classes on inventory control in Access.
Access 320 to 329 is all about how to handle the problem. It's not for beginner users, but it's broken down to be as simple as possible.
